After hitting out at the Central Bureau of Investigation for making a "compromise", the family of Ruchika Girhotra, who ended her life three years after being molested by retired Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, on Sunday said a fresh case would be filed against him for inclusion of abetment to suicide charge.
A woman police official, who was part of the team which arrested Goswami from his Lower Parel residence in Mumbai, filed the complaint, he said. As per the complaint, Goswami, his wife, son and an unidentified man and a woman tried to obstruct the officials when they were arresting the journalist.

Commenting on the Narcotics Control Bureau investigation of a drug case, related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, Raut said, "The probe of the case started about murder and suicide. Now, narcotics came into the case. Nobody knows where will it go. It is under NCB's jurisdiction to summon anyone to join the probe."
